Our Nature Days are set up as a way to escape from it all and come on a 'mini away' day in the woods! This session will focus on Trees; their identification and their identities, we will explore trees with our minds and bodies by listening to their folklore, learning about their medicines and feeling their individual vibes. We will also look after you by showing ways nature connection can benefit you, feed you a nourishing vegan lunch and a vitalising 'tea' which we will make from wild plants. Here is what you can expect from all our nature days with our theme of trees weaved into our core routine of: 10am: Arrive and Welcome, a mindful walk into the woods. Grounding (this is like a guided meditation, to help you 'arrive' and let your other life go for the day). Movement: a guided movement or nature themed game Make a fire: techniques and building Forage: discover what is available this spring season, gather plants for lunch and tea! Make an infusion from the plants we have picked, learn what each plant/herb can benefit you. Sit spot: Find a space in the woods that you can just ‘be’. Lunch: vegan lunch made with a mix of wild and bought ingredients. Create: after lunch we have a guided making session with natural materials, to let your creative juices flow! 4pm: session comes to an end. This would be a great session for families with older children (11 upwards), couples looking to spend some time together doing something a little different, friends looking for a fun group activity or single people wanting to meet new people. You can expect to leave a day with us feeling refreshed, having learned about our wild flora and fauna (TREES!) a little on what you can (or can’t) eat or what you can pick in the wild to make ‘tea’, how to make fire and make something from the wild (such as a spoon, string, dye, paint, pottery etc). This day is for adults only (accompanied children over 11 welcome) and we run under strict Covid guidelines for the day (Full details can be found on our homepage). We are completely outdoors at a distance. We aim to run in most weathers, however, if the forecast is particularly windy or rainy we may have to cancel at short notice. In this event, a new date will be arranged or refunds will be offered.
To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 24 hours before hand. We may be able to reschedule but not refund any missed days. Sessions which we cancel due to weather or other extenuating circumstances are rescheduled to a new date where possible and where not preferably refunded with a voucher.
