Service Description

This course is for people working within organisations who seek to develop their nature and health offering. The course is designed to be focused around you as a learner, so that all you learn will have a real impact on your development personally and professionally. At the end of this course you will be accredited to offer the NatureWell approach in your Nature and Health Facilitation. This approach is evidenced based and has been tested and evaluated. The course is designed within the developing standards of the Nature and Health Practitioners Network (see www.natureandhealthpractitioners.com) which sets out a way that we can create good practice as nature based facilitators. The course content is designed to increase your learning, experience and knowledge to an adequate level by exploring some theories, context, relevant skills, personal development and self-reflective practice. The course is at Level 2 and we are accredited by Open College Network London. We will therefore require academic standards at this level. In addition to the scheduled hours of the course you will need to set aside additional personal study time, dedicated to reading and reflecting, and exploring experiences on the course. And to work on your assessments (E-portfolio, planning micro session and skills assessment). There will be session time given for discussions on this and for other course content or assessment related issues when required. It is very valuable for your learning and development and there is a direct relationship between, what you as a student put into the course and, what you receive back in terms of your learning and development. Some of the course content includes: An introduction to ecopsychology Evidence and studies of nature and health models Nature Based Interventions and green care – How does this fit into our delivery What is social prescribing Positive psychology approach The 5 pathways to Nature Connection Skills to deliver a grounding, Nature Based Intervention and hold group reflections on the health outcomes through Mirror, Tracking Guiding How to deliver a 6 week session and session guides based on the 5 pathways Evaluation methods.
